Getting Started
With Organic Lawn Care
Are you changing from a chemical to organic lawn? Or have you been trying organic products but having less than stellar results? We can help make your transition to organics as effective and painless as possible.
This program jumpstarts the process of restoring your soil health, so your grass can out-compete the weeds and become a sustainable, low input lawn (needing less water and fertilizer).
Who is this for?
Is your lawn in fair condition with adequate grass and less than 50% weeds, this is a good place to start.
Ongoing Lawn Care
After our solid jumpstart, you can down-shift to this program and get a lush, organic lawn with a little less effort.
We know how to help you build a beautiful, low-input lawn, and this the way.
Who is this for?
This is for customers who have done the Startup Program. You could also start here if your lawn is already chemical-free and is mostly grass with some trouble spots and weeds, and you are willing to stick with the program for a healthier lawn.
Lawn Issues
Organic Weed & Pest Control
Weeds or pests driving you crazy? Don’t worry, we have safe & organic options.
Weeds
How many people have Creeping Charlie? If this – or any broadleaf weed – is the bane of your existence, we have a solution for you! Our Low Toxicity Herbicide is safe for aquatic invertebrates, the most delicate organisms in any ecosystem, so it is safe for children, pets, wildlife and you! The grass loves it too.

Lawn Replacement
Total or Partial Renovation
If you inherited a real mess of a lawn, sometimes it’s better to just start over. We offer two options:
1.) Lawn Replacement with Seed
2.) Lawn Replacement with Sod
We recommend Lawn Replacement with Seed, since it allows us to use a low-input fescue seed blend (instead of Kentucky grass, which requires a lot of water and fertilizer), and to avoid the chemicals used in sod production.
Maintenance
Mowing, Spring & Fall Clean Up
Organic Bob is teaming up with Eco Friendly Lawn Care to offer weekly or bi-weekly lawn mowing, as well as Spring and Fall Clean up services.
Who is this for?
If you are too busy to care for your lawn, looking for full lawn care service, or need some help with yard cleanup projects, this is for you!

Do-it-Yourself
Products & Services
We’ll take the guesswork and endless research out of the process and simply provide you with our time-tested approach and the best organic products.
You can generally save about 30% over our full-service program by doing it yourself. We deliver the same high-quality products we use in our programs to your door, just when you need them, with instructions and support for the novice. Aerobic Compost Tea and our All Liquid Program are full- service, but for almost everything else we do, you can learn to do it yourself.
Our Organic Soil Regeneration Approach
Alternatives to Conventional Lawns
Bee Lawn
With Dutch Clover, Creeping Thyme, and Self Heal
If you want your lawn or a small part of it to be a force for ecological restoration, then a bee lawn is for you!
There are over 400 species of bees in Minnesota and they desperately need our help. Lawns are a barren desert to a foraging bee. Even weed flowers like Creeping Charlie and dandelions aren’t as healthy for bees as we once thought.
Clover Lawn
With Clover and Fine Fescue Grass
An inexpensive and effective way to help bees pollinators – overseed your existing lawn with dutch white clover and low-maintenance fine fescues.
The Clover flower is suited for a great variety of bees from heavy bumbles to the tiniest native bee, this is why it is a great choice in a lawn.
Clover also tolerates more shade and since our clover is inoculated with nitrogen fixing bacteria, it will help feed your grass while it feeds the bees!
True No-mow Lawn
Drought Tolerant Fescue Grass
Our proprietary blend of fine fescue contains the only native turf grass, so you know you are on the right track.
Fine fescue no-mow grass that isn’t mowed rarely needs water and a fraction of the fertilizer a mowed bluegrass lawn requires.
It grows to about 6 inches long and lays over in beautiful green swirls and waves. You only need to mow it once or twice a year! Now that’s low maintenance!
Gardens
Prairie Gardens, Shade or Sunny Gardens, Native Planting Gardens, Edible Gardens, & Rain Gardens
Bob often says “the most organic lawn may be the part you remove.”
Marginal areas of lawns where it is tough to grow grass are the parts where people use the most water, chemicals, work and money. So instead, grow grass where it likes to grow and plant one of our low maintenance gardens in those areas that are always weedy or dead. Go ahead, treat yourself.
